This is such a good tip as the key to being health This is such a good tip as the key to being healthier is πŸ’― just showing up. πŸ’š Most people think you need a complete overhaul to become healthy. You don't. In fact, this is the worst mentality and get you into peaks and troughs. 🫣

And you don't have to be perfect (none of us are), but you have to show up with a healthy approach in some form.

So if it's thowing a handful of spinach into some shop brought pesto and stir it through your pasta as usual... Do it! If it's making a homemade tomato sauce instead of using a Dolmio one... Do it! If it's simply learning how to boil an egg and having it for breakfast instead of Cocopops... Do it! Like NOW!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜

Don't wait for perfection. You're just procrastinating. Just get on and show up every day in a simple way that makes sense to you, and you find easy, put the reps in, and pretty soon you'll start becoming and feeling healthier. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

Very excited to open up my discovery calls in the coming weeks so that we can see if I can help you. I've only got a few spots opening up so if being healthier is something that's always been unachievable but you're desperate to change your ways, send me a DM and I'll pop you on the top of this list so we can book a call to find out where you are at and if working together is the right fit for you. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

What are the parts of cooking that you hate? We al What are the parts of cooking that you hate? We all have them... here are mine! 🀫

1. Crumbs - Dry, soggy, big, or small. I can't stand them and they make my skin crawl.

2. Dishes - The never-ending pile of dishes. I'm very good at creating a bit of chaos in the kitchen, and I do TRY and stay on top of the dishes. But they are relentless.

3. Sorting the fridge - As a high creative yellow, I find keeping a pleasing to the eye fridge quite tough. I'm all over raw meat at the bottom etc, but because I have so many little pots of leftovers (all worth keeping) it does mean it's more a balancing act than anything else. This drives my husband mad. And then I feel bad!

What are your 3 things you hate about cooking? We all have them. Let's get them out there!! I bet you're not the only one. And they can't be as wierd as crumbs (or maybe they are!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

We have a whole section dedicated to brunch in the We have a whole section dedicated to brunch in the recipe part of the Cook Well, Eat Well, Live Well membership because I believe making breakfast 'a meal' is a lovely way to start the day. And what better time to practise than the summer holidays when mornings can be a bit slower and you're still in your pj's at 10am.

I love pottering about in the kitchen with a coffee, unloading the dishwasher, folding a bit of laundry, feeding the chickens, and catching up on emails whilst cooking a batch of waffles, pancakes or muffins. Okay, poached eggs take a bit more concentration, but once you've got the hang of it you'll see it's all pretty easy and a much nicer way of easing into the morning than grabbing a Shreddies or bowl of Cheerios.

Other kinds of eggs include fried, srambled (we have alot!), boiled or bird in the nest.

I always serve a selection of fruit too on the side for people to help themselves ... try blueberries, grapes, cantaloupe melon, strawberries, pineapple, mango, kiwi, banana, pears... you name it. And sometimes some mixed nuts too. All good for the microbiome and an easy way to start the day.

Let me know if this sounds utterly daunting but you'd still like to have fun breakfasts, but you're not sure at all where to start as I'd love to help. Sometimes we just freeze when it comes to changing things up and I can nudge you along. Or check out my membership (link is in my bio) where there's ooodles of food inspo and where you'll find the section dedicated entirely to brunch.

Big love,

Do you struggle with your relationship with food b Do you struggle with your relationship with food but are obsessed by your weight, bullying inner thoughts and feeling like you'll never change?

Then follow these tips and start nurturing your relationship with food. It's an important one, and you, as much as anyone else, are capable of it.

1. Ditch the scales - I know, I know, having a metric goal may appear obvious but it can do more harm than good. Instead, align yourself with your identity and WHO you want to be and your natural relationship with food will blossom. There's too many variables that effect the scales, and will they ever make you truly happy?

2. Think of food as fuel ⛽️. Everything starts with a thought, then a feeling, and finally an action. So if you see food as fuel and good food as good fuel, you'll start making healthy choices without even realising it.

3. Believe in yourself - It may sound corny but if you don't believe you can create a positive relationship then it will always be someone else's story. You are human. You need to eat. There is a relationship there. You deserve to define it so it serves you well.

Are you finding it really hard to decide what to e Are you finding it really hard to decide what to eat when it's so hot? Keeping your body cool when you eat is super important to regulate your body temperature. So how about trying a gorgeously chilled gazpacho soup? πŸ…

It's super healthy as it's blizted tomatoes, garlic, cucumber, green peppers, oil, vinegar and seasoning. You need to add something like breadcrumbs to thicken it up, but I prefer to make a normal tomato soup using red lentils to bulk it up. Once it's cooked, I blitz it in a blender with green peppers and cucumber.

These burgers are simply the best! 🀩 Super succ These burgers are simply the best! 🀩 Super succulent, full of flavour, no nasties, and perfect for making ahead of time so they can chill in the fridge until you need them.

Makes 6

1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
1 kg beef mince
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 pinch ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
A few drops of tabasco
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon dried herbs
A large handful chopped herbs (use rosemary, thyme, sage, basil, coriander or mint)
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

1. Fry off onions in oil for 10 minutes or until soft and golden.

2. Add garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Take off heat and leave to cool.

3. Mix mince in large bowl and add all ingredients including cooked onions and garlic.

4. Take 180g of mince and roll into a ball with your hands. Then squish down into a patty smoothing off the sides with your fingers.

5. Place on a plate and chill until needed.

6. When you're ready, preheat the bbq to hot but not burning. You should be able to hold your hand over the grill and count to 2.

7. Cook for 6 minutes on either side for medium or 8 minutes on either side for well done. Turn regularly.

8. If you want cheese, add a slice for the last 3 minutes of cooking so it melts.

Layer up the condiments, coleslaw, sweetcorn and relishes and get stuck in. Don't forget to save this recipe... it's SO GOOD!!

And if you cook it and like it, head to the link in my bio where you'll find out how to get all my recipes in the membership πŸ”₯

Do you find yourself wondering whether to buy beef Do you find yourself wondering whether to buy beef, cherry, salad, vine, mixed or plum tomatoes? πŸ…

Here's the download:

πŸ… Beef - slice for Caprese salads or stuff with vegetables and rice.

πŸ… Cherry - Roast, snack, picnics, halve in salads, pasta sauces etc.

πŸ… Salad - Halve and roast for tomato soups and sauces. Chop for salads.

πŸ… Vine - All tomatoes grow on a vine so this is a bit of a marketing ploy! They smell nicer. And you can roast them on the vine. Otherwise you'd always remove it before cooking/eating. Unless I've missed something?!

πŸ… Mixed - Nice at this time of year when in season. Add colour to your meal.

πŸ… Plum - taste and use like cherry tomatoes.

My solution to tomato buying overwhelm is to go with what you know and like. Personally, I don't think we need this much choice. Some will always check the price/kg for the cheapest. Other's might always go for luxury. You do you.

There's no right or wrong.

Hope that helps! Share if you know anyone who finds it hard to make food decisions.

Oh, and there's also different ways to chop and slice tomatoes which I share in my membership for just Β£24.99/month. πŸ’•πŸ…πŸ’• head to the link in my bio to find out more.

Do you want a super healthy summer breakfast? So m Do you want a super healthy summer breakfast? So many cereals are filled hidden sugar and salt even though they look healthy, they might not be. It's what makes them taste so good... even a healthy looking granola/muesli. Always read the label!

To combat this and have a delicious bowl of cereal every morning, try making your own. No need to soak oats overnight... just pour them straight into your bowl. Add whatever fruit is in season. And whatever seeds you have. I chop nuts in a food processor as it makes them go further, but equally they are yummy whole. Then add milk/oat milk/yoghurt.

Let me know how you go!

And yes, there's been LOTS of cartwheeling action at DizzleSky HQ this week! 🀸🏼🀸🏼🀸🏼

Look at that eye! πŸ‘€ 🐟 People often ask me Look at that eye! πŸ‘€ 🐟

People often ask me about cooking fish, buying fish and eating fish. If you're scared of buying fresh fish, ask lots of questions and look at how fresh, clear and bright their eyes and skin are.

This eye was staring right back at me. This is a good sign!

Although I didn't buy it. I went in for fresh lobster 🦞 which we're having at Bantham tonight. 😜
