Carrot, pear, apple, banana & ginger smoothie

It’s funny isn’t it, that it can be easy to forget to eat fruit and vegetables, especially vegetables. It’s not our fault, it’s sadly the way that food has evolved in the last 60 years. A fresh vegetable and fruit smoothie is a fantastic way to get lots of healthfulness in to you, and I love the ginger in this one. The zing in the ginger will wake any sleepyhead and the natural sugars in the fruit and vegetables are far more in line with what your body is naturally craving. Jaffacakes weren’t invented when humans first had sugar cravings! You’ll get way more health benefits from it and your body and mind will be back on track.

Method

Place all the ingredients in your juicer and blend until smooth. Enjoy cold.

This can be kept in the fridge for one day. Don’t worry if it separates. Simply shake well before drinking it.

If you’re feeling a bit meh and keep reaching for something sugary in the afternoons, I invite you to give this carrot smoothie a go instead.Ā
